Privacy Policy

Lock In ("Lock In", "we", "us") is an AI studio that helps content creators edit, caption, dub, schedule and analyze short-form video, and — when you choose to connect them — publish to and read analytics from your social media accounts. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, why, how we store it, and how you can delete it.

Information we collect

• Account information: your email address and authentication identifiers.
• Content you upload: video clips, audio and images you provide for editing, and the content Lock In generates from them (edits, captions, scripts).
• Connected social accounts (only if you connect them):when you link an Instagram, YouTube or TikTok account, we access, via each platform's official API and only with your explicit authorization, your profile information, your media/posts, their performance metrics (reach, views, watch time, engagement, saves and similar insights), and comments — strictly to power the features you use (publishing, scheduling and performance coaching).
• Usage data: basic technical logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use your data

• Provide the core features: editing, captioning, dubbing, scheduling and publishing your content.
• Show you analytics and personalized coaching about how your content performs.
• Publish content to your connected accounts when you ask us to.
• Operate, secure, debug and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your content or social data for advertising.

Instagram, YouTube and TikTok data

Data obtained through the Instagram API, YouTube API Services and TikTok API is used only to provide the in-app features you requested and is never sold or shared with third parties for their own purposes. Our use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service and the Google Privacy Policy. You can revoke Lock In's access at any time from your Google account permissions, your Instagram/Facebook app settings, or your TikTok account settings, in addition to disconnecting from within Lock In.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of processors that handle data on our behalf, under their own security and privacy commitments:

• Hosting and delivery (Vercel).
• Database and file storage (Supabase).
• AI processing to generate edits, captions and analysis (e.g. Anthropic, Google, OpenAI, Z.ai).
• The social platforms you connect (Instagram/Meta, YouTube/Google, TikTok).

Data retention

We keep your data only as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service. Uploaded rushes are purged automatically after processing. Tokens for connected accounts are stored encrypted and removed when you disconnect. You can request deletion at any time (see below).

Deleting your data

You can disconnect any social account from within Lock In at any time, which deletes the associated access tokens. To delete your account and all associated data, follow the instructions on our Data Deletion page or email us at technology.wasp@gmail.com. We will action verified requests within 30 days.

Security

Access tokens for connected accounts are encrypted at rest. We use industry-standard measures to protect data in transit and at rest, and restrict access to what is necessary to run the service.

Children

Lock In is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Changes

We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
